Photo-Monitoring Project
The Citizen Science and Climate Change project is establishing a series of six citizen-maintained photographic plots along the trail for baseline for monitoring climate change, create a citizen science experience for trail users, and develop a deeper sense of place for wildlands in the Klamath Mountains. This page is for the Siskiyou Wilderness high point.
About the site: As of early summer 2017 the Siskiyou Mountain highpoint is healthy. While Brewer spruce is the most common conifer, shrubs dominate this windswept and fire-prone ridgeline with huckleberry oak, pinemat manzanita, and serviceberry being the most prevalent.
