Description
Help us fill a $7,500 funding gap to support our work with the California Conservation Corps (CCC)!
In 2020, we established our CCC Collaborative with the help of the Rose Foundation. Over the last two years this innovative partnership has already produced significant results including:
- 22 corpsmember participants
- 1000+ Volunteer hours
- 12+ trail miles cleared
- 100+ Logs removed
This year, after applying for, and being notified in January of 2022 that we would receive $10,000 in funding from the U.S. Forest Service to step up the goals of the program, we were subsequently contacted on August 20 with a reversal. Due to internal USFS capacity challenges the USFS would not be able to process our grant funding. Obviously, this is disappointing on many levels including the fact that we have already planned the trip and recruited 10 CCC members (at $750/week) to join us to continue our mutual work similar to past years.
We believe that this partnership is too important to let it fall through the cracks.
We need your help to raise the $7,500 to pay the CCC members to continue to work with us this year to continue their momentum of good work. The Bigfoot Trail Alliance and Rose Foundation will cover the remaining cost of $7,500 to make this project happen.
We consider this one of our most important activities of the year due to the relationships we build with the CCC corpsmembers during our time on the trail and the valuable work we achieve along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Bigfoot Trail. Please consider donating to make this project happen!
